CARDIOLOGY NP/PA invited to join critical access hospitals 45 minutes from Bangor – broad role, great schedule, Loan Assistance provided

Dover-Foxcroft, Maine: Just Announced: A skilled CARDIOLOGY NP/PA is invited to practice full time, based in this scenic all-sports community 45 minutes NW of Bangor. The employer is a top-rated 25-bed non-profit critical access hospital providing advanced medical services to more than 26,000 residents in three counties. This is a new position created to address recognized community needs. You will have a very autonomous role practicing independently and alongside physicians in a collaborative setting. You will split your time with a second site – the hospital cardiology service with another critical access hospital in Pittsfield, Maine – 45 minutes south of Dover-Foxcroft. Mileage expenses to the second site are reimbursed.

Experienced Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants are encouraged to apply. You should have experience and comfort in cardiology. We cannot consider new graduates for this position. Your role will include cardiology testing, consultations, and follow-ups. You will interpret stress test results including routine, Lexiscans and nuclear, plus Holter monitors. An ideal candidate can expand to dobutamine stress tests and stress echo oversight, and work with placement cardiologists to interrogate pacemakers.
