Job Description

An upscale women's health practice, is hiring a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP/FNP). Work under indirect supervision and interdependently with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers, and provide a broad range of nurse practitioner services with an emphasis on women’s health. Be part of a practice that has an explicit focus on high quality care over volume. Provide outstanding bedside manner and help the practice grow by providing the best patient care and a personalized patient experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide services to patients including but not limited to ambulatory care, taking health histories, performing assessments, and conducting health education and counseling.
  • Assess and manage patients with routine, minor, and acute illnesses; perform assessment/data collection in an ongoing and systematic manner, focus on physiologic, psychological, and cognitive status.
  • Develop plans of care based on patient assessment ensuring appropriate follow-up in accordance with established nurse practitioner protocols.
  • Triage and refer patients for further care based on severity of illness and symptoms.
  • Efficiently and effectively review labs, radiology reports and consults and communicate results and form management plans. .
  • Prepare timely, legible, and complete documentation of all patient care as provided by law, regulation, and established policy.
  • Ensure compliance with legal issues including but not limited to patient confidentiality and risk management; ensure compliance with AAAASF, JCAHO, federal, state, and local regulations.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of accredited Nurse Practitioner Program
  • Certification as WHNP or FNP
  • Valid NYS Nurse Practitioner License
  • Able to work collaboratively with multiple health professionals.
  • Strong charting/documentation skills.
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
  • Acute attention to detail.
