This is a contract 1099 position working with adolescents ages 10-17 onsite 12-24 hours/week.

Responsibilities Include::
The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner functions as the attending and will be responsible for care and treatment for the patients in our PHP/IOP programs in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Walden Behavioral Care. The responsibilities include: the psychiatric evaluation, suicide risk assessments, medication management, progress notes, collaboration with outpatient providers, meeting with the family and discharge planning.

Qualifications::
Education
- Graduate of an accredited program.
- Minimum of 2 years' prior relevant experience required
- Experience in inpatient level of care, preferred
- Licensed in the state of Massachusetts in Advanced Nursing
- Current CPR Certification
- Must possess knowledge of general and psychiatric nursing processes, therapeutic relationships and processes, age specific growth and development, limit setting, behavior and crisis management
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize independently
- Ability to multi-task in a changing and fast paced mental health environment
- Ability to work in a highly collaborate, team environment
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
- Reports to Medical Director
- General hospital environment.
