Position Description

A hospital system in Orange County is currently seeking a licensed Neuro Hospitalist Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) for a great opportunity with their team.

About the Opportunity:

  • Specialty: Neurology NP/PA
  • Schedule: 7am-7pm, 7 on 7 off
  • Patient Population: Adults

Responsibilities:

The Neuro Hospitalist APP will be responsible for:

  • Providing in-hour neuro coverage on a shift-based schedule
  • Collaborate closely with hospital nursing staff, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and outpatient OB/GYN providers
  • Conduct neurological consultations and emergency interventions as needed
  • Supervise and support care of patients admitted for neurological issues
  • Round on patients pre and post neurosurgical procedures
  • Ensure thorough documentation and clear communication in patient records and provider handoffs
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with hospital protocols and safety standards
  • Performing other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

  • New York State Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) license
  • Experience in neurology, acute care, or critical care
