Originally from Park Ridge, Illinois, Aileen Doble received her Bachelor’s degree from Carthage College in Music and Vocal Performance. Doble comes from a long line of nurses and always loved watching both the art and science involved. Her calling was made even stronger by her experience providing end of life care for her maternal grandparents. Doble applied, and was accepted to the MGH Institute of Health Profession’s Direct Entry Nurse Practitioner BSN/MSN program, and with the support and encouragement of her family was able to complete her initial coursework and earn her RN license. Currently, she is completing her clinical and course work in preparation to graduate and sit for the boards to be an Adult/Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner in the summer of 2019. Doble’s experience providing her grandparents with home care left an indelible mark, and sparked her passion for gerontology. Upon graduation, she hopes to focus her practice on the geriatric population as she strongly feels that older adults deserve care that maintains their dignity, respects their voice, and honors their life’s journey.
