News Update!

Hi everyone,

Here is an update.

1. Scholarship application should be up on website this week. Please check it out and spread the word,

2. Next Thirsty Thursday is 2/29/24. Topic is Osteoporosis. Cindy Gertenlauer has graciously offered to present for us.

Cindy Gerstenlauer has been an Adult/Gerontological Nurse Practitioner for over 40 years.  She is retired from a large group medical practice where for 18 years she provided specialty care, including education, counseling and management of diabetes, osteoporosis, travel health, and geriatric syndromes.  She was a certified clinical densitometrist through 2021 and is a member of the International Society for Clinical Densitometry.  She authored a Chapter on osteoporosis in the 2nd and 3rd editions of Advanced Practice Nursing in the Care of the Older Adults.  She has been a member of GAPNA since 1998 and is Chair of the Historical Committee.

3. Hoping to have a NE chapter get together in Chicago at the Pharm conference. Hope to see you all there. More to come, thinking of Thursday night at the hotel.
